12:08 am: So - apparently they've accidentally deleted Yuletide?

Which reminds me, I really should sit down and write that story.

It's supposed to be restored? Because my assignment is still not there anymore...

Hmm. I hadn't noticed that. I thought you just ment the 503 error.

Have you posted your story yet? I have (unbetaed for now, but complete at least) and I can see it in the "Works" list. Since many have posted after me, I have to go a few pages back to see it.

No, I meant that somebody seems to have accidentally deleted all the assignments. Fortunately I still have the mail with mine and my victim's letter.

And no, I haven't even written it yet - much to my shame. Though I wish I had. Ah well...

Though I dare say it might become an interesting Yuletide if the mods don't find a way to restore the assignments.

Yup. While, if that should happen, incredibly sad thinking about how much work that is put into it, it would be funny in a way too, since I have been circling it since 2009 and finally decided to join for the first time this year...

Well, it wouldn't be the end of the world. I'm pretty sure you can just "post to collection" and write in your recipient's name or something if worst comes to worst. I imagine the problem gets to be the people who deleted the mail and can't remember who their recipient is- not to mention the poor mods having to make sure everybody has a story...
